What we’re all about!
We are bringing veterinary medicine to your doorstep! By providing services in your home, residence, or business we are able to greatly decrease the anxiety, fear, and stress your pet experiences with their veterinary care. We believe the veterinary visit should not be something your pet merely endures, but instead becomes a routine part of their lives and hopefully one they can even, at times, enjoy! We will take the time to work with your pet through their fears and anxiety to improve, not just their health, but the quality of both their lives and the lives of their owners.
Our mobile veterinary practice will be providing routine preventative care, vaccines, exams, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic disease processes, behavior consultation and planning, minor surgery, and end of life services (pain management, palliative therapy, euthanasia, and cremation services) to Mobile and Baldwin County. Additionally, by partnering with local brick and mortar veterinary practices, we are able to provide any services needed that are not practical or even possible to safely and effectively be provided in the field.
MOBAL Veterinary Services also looks to change the relationship between pharmaceuticals and our profession. We have partnered with an online pharmacy provider as a source for cost effective and competitive pricing of both prescription and over the counter medications. As your pet’s healthcare provider we consider it our duty to not only provide the highest quality veterinary services, but also aid our clients in obtaining high quality, but cost effective medications.
We chose the name MOBAL to pay homage to our beloved city, MOBile, ALabama, and to look forward to the future where we will extend our reach into not just MOBile but BALdwin County. Finally, there is nothing quite as fun as a play on words. Trying to name oneself a mobile (like the phone) veterinary practice, in Mobile, Alabama makes for all sorts of fun literary interactions! So, MOBAL (pronounced mobile, like the phone, not the city) Veterinary Services was born!

Our Mission
After over a decade of practice, clinic ownership, practice management, the sale of practices, and providing veterinary relief services, Dr. Hernandez decided it was time to do something different thus MOBAL Veterinary Services and its mission, were born.
Our mission is to provide high quality veterinary care in the homes or businesses of patrons within our service area and, in the process, begin to rebuild and redefine what the Veterinary Client Patient Relationship is. As both pet and human anxiety and stress levels are on the rise, we seek to reduce the fears and difficulties a veterinary visit can generate. Instead, our mission is to increase the overall veterinary experience for our patients and clients. Additionally, we shall provide access to veterinary healthcare services to residents of our service area, including those without the ability or desire to travel outside of their homes for their pets’ healthcare needs. We believe this world needs more compassion, love, empathy, and trust and we seek to be a source of those things for you and your pet(s).
The final facet of our Mission is a personal one. There is a mental health crisis in the veterinary profession. Our team has personally been affected by the losses this profession has endured as we attempt to navigate and discover the cause(s) and the solution(s). We seek to reduce the self harm and destructive patterns many veterinary healthcare providers impose upon themselves, their staff, and their families. We shall forge mutual respect and trust between our doctors, staff, and our clients. Although we may not change the entire veterinary profession, our mission is to change our corner of veterinary medicine for the betterment of our patients, clients, doctors, and staff.
